Its HOCKEY TIME! After a long lockout that cost the NHL the 2013 Winter Classic, Hockeyfest, and the All Star Classic the season finally gets under way in under thirty minutes. Teams are offering lots of things to get fans back, many of whom will not return due to this being the third CBA expiration leading to a lockout under Scary Gary. Some of the items being offered include free concessions, B1G1 tickets in bad markets normally, free beer in Ottawa, among many others. Sadly the lockout cost me a chance to go to the Joe this year. I am going to the area in April and had begin to plan for an NHL game, then the revised schedule came out and I knew it wouldn't happen. Oh well it is money I can spend elsewhere during the trip.
What are your predictions for the upcoming short season where every game and point will be critical? Do you still support the league despite the lockout?
