The Miami Marlins have fire their manager, Ozzie Guillen, after his first year as manager ended with a record of 69-93 and finishing last place in their division. The Marlins will still owe Guillen 7.5 million for the 3 years left on his contract. Still, this firing is pretty warranted. The Marlins did a ton of spending this offseason, and Guillen just didn't do anything with it.
The next Marlins manager will be the 5th since 2010.
Thoughts?

That Castro comment is what got him fired.

Yup, I'm glad an emphasis is starting to be placed on off field behavior as well. It's a bit of a shame that Ozzie didn't perform, I had high hopes for him based on what he did with the White Sox in the past few years. I have a feeling he might not have tried his hardest with the Marlins...

I have never liked Ozzie Guillen. I don't think managers should be as outspoken as he is. Managers should know how to stay calm, especially during professional interviews.
