What do you think is the best NBA draft class of all-time?
I was reading an article on ESPN saying that the 1996 draft class is the best draft class ever, so I was wondering what people think about this. The 1996 draft class featured many amazing players including Kobe Bryant, Steve Nash, Ray Allen, and Marcus Camby. Kobe Bryant is one of the best all-around players of all-time. Steve Nash is one of the best point guards of all-time. Ray Allen is one of the best shooters of all-time, especially from beyond the arc as you can clearly see with the record(s) he currently has standing. Marcus Camby is a former defensive player of the year and he used to be really good at one point as well.
What about the 2003 draft class though? Right now it's hard to say, but in a decade, I think this draft class will be more legendary then the 1996 draft class. The 2003 draft class featured LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Carmelo Anthony, and Chris Bosh. Those are the most notable guys. Then there's players like Mo Williams, David West, and Josh Howard who have earned some respect so far in their NBA careers.
I'd be a fool to not mention the legendary 1984 draft class. This draft class featured Michael Jordan, John Stockton, Charles Barkley, and Hakeem Olajuwon. All four of these players are in the hall of fame. When people think of the best draft class of all-time, this draft class is what is usually thought of. Considering it featured arguably the best NBA player ever, that is understandable. Also, the other three hall of famers did some amazing stuff too.
