It's amazing how close this race is. The O's and Yanks are tied with TB 4 back. The Orioles are playing lights out and I can definitely see them going far in the playoffs if they can keep their starters pitching this well.

Yeah, the O's are on fire. They beat the Rays in 14 innings last night. I could definitely see them going deep in the playoffs if they can beat out the Yanks.

They way the Orioles have been so far this month reminds me of the way the Rays were last season. I'm really hoping the Orioles take the AL East if the Rays can't get the job done. The Rays can take a wild card spot like last season, and I'd love to see the Yankees collapse and not make the playoffs.

It's not just the East...everything is really close. There are 8 teams that could easily make the playoffs from the AL.
