I really hope these are false accusations... you can tell how annoyed he was by them. To just give up like he did shows it.

Really sad that it had to come to this. I'll still always think of him as the best cycler ever.
He's the only cyclyer I can name off the top of my head....but still.

He's the Michael Jordan of basketball, the Tiger Woods of golf, the Babe Ruth of baseball, or the Roger Federer of tennis. He is a household name in America. If you don't know who he is and you live in America, you're living under a rock. That just shows how much he did for not only the sport, but he gave cancer patients hope. It seems morally wrong to me to let this happen. If he used performance enhancing drugs, I think it would be better if we didn't know. Unfortunately, it had to come down to this though. He never tested positive. Whatever happened to innocent until proven guilty? Isn't that part of what this country was built on? He didn't test positive, so this should not have happened the way it did.

I can't agree with you more Cmt. I think someone has a grudge against him, this entire case has just seemed all too shady. I said this to my dad earlier... "They can take away his medals, but they will NEVER take away his fame." I don't understand what this accomplishes. Everyone still views him as the best, and will for a long time.
