aol.sportingnews.com/nba/story/2012-07-06/ray-allen-heat-celtics-update-free-agent-2012-signs-twitter-miami-bostonI love this. Even if Ray Allen is plagued with injuries, I have always liked Ray Allen because of his style of play. It was always hard to cheer him on when he drained a three while he was playing for the team I hate the most... The Boston Celtics. I'm kind of wondering how the Heat will be able to afford this even with Ray Allen willing to drop the amount he'll accept so he can win a title, and what's going to happen to Shane Battier? There isn't enough room for Mario Chalmers, Dwyane Wade, Shane Battier, Ray Allen, LeBron James, and Chris Bosh to start. Someone is going to have to come off the bench. If Shane Battier is coming off the bench, what's Mike Miller going to be doing? I don't see him coming off the bench as well. This might be his time to retire. It will be kind of sad to bench Shane Battier mainly though, he's not only a good player, but he seems to be a great person from what I have seen in his interviews and stuff. He appears to be a man of character, honestly. Making this long post kind of ended up making me sad. Mixed emotions.

I don't like this. Basically it's: "Well, I can't win a title with the team I'm with, so I'll go join one of my old team's biggest rivals just to possibly win a championship."
It's fine that he wants to win, but it's not being very loyal to the team or the fans. If I were a Celts fan, I'd be ticked at Allen right now.

Steve Nash did the same thing, but you didn't seem to have a problem with it. Everyone criticizes LeBron James for what he did, but the top free agents are doing the same thing really. I know some people don't have a problem with it because Steve Nash and Ray Allen aren't in the prime of their career, but I don't think it's any different. It's still disloyalty to fans and all, but I personally find it laughable that fans would think that these players who do this owe them something. Dwight Howard may end up doing the same thing because he has decided that he can't win with the Magic. It's the same exact thing as LeBron, but there wasn't an ESPN special called "The Decision."

You can always become a Heat fan. We accept bandwagon fans.

The Suns and Lakers haven't been huge rivals the past couple seasons. I'm not saying Allen owes anything to the fans or that I hate him for doing, I'm just saying it's gonna be kinda sad seeing Allen possibly win another championship not with the Celtics.

Yeah he's took half as much money to play with the Heat. It's really not fair anymore. The Heat are too good already.

Every year people are willing to take less money for the Heat than any other team. In fact, someone would probably take less money and a lesser role to join the Heat than the Thunder.

Whats the problem? Its obvious that Ray Allen's skill has drastically declined, and he is looking for a position where he will get playing time. Its a reasonable choice. Good for him, and I hope he wins another ring.

I know, it's just the fact that he would leave his current team just to try to jump to the top. I don't like when players do that... but it's not my call. I guess I'd like to have something to show for all of my hard work too. So I'm torn...
