Heading into the weekend, there is a lot of controversy going about. There's the whole Kyle Busch deal and whether or not he will be a little on the conservative side for the final two Cup races of the year. Then there's the point's race with Carl and Tony duking it out. Tony has 4 wins in the 8 Chase races, winning back to back twice. However, he barely scraped into the Chase in the first place...Carl Edwards has only 1 finish outside of the top 10, an 11th during the Chase. Arguably, Carl has been the most consistent this year but as for the Chase, Tony has definitely be on a streak. Whether the case, Tony and Carl are both going for wins the next two weeks as not a single point can be sacrificed if they are going to go for the championship.
People I'd keep an eye on this week are Kasey Kahne whose had 5 top 6 finishes in the last 6 races, Carl Edwards and Tony Stewart of course and Jimmie Johnson who has 4 wins at PIR.

interesting twist in the Busch thing, rumor is according to ESPN the Nationwide sponsor for Joe Gibbs is done with him and the Cup sponsors are still deciding on how they want to go forward with the tool.

So far, the only confirmations I have heard are that he won't be in the NW car at Homestead and M&Ms won't be on the car until 2012. Other than that, nothing big...

Sam Hornish Jr grabbed his first Nationwide career win at Phoenix in the Nationwide wreckfest, I mean race. Congrats. I can't believe I'd see the day when he would win a NASCAR race though, lol.

Congratulations to Sam Hornish Jr. It's too bad Jimmie Johnson isn't going to keep his chase victory streak going.

Congratulations to Sam Hornish Jr. It's too bad Jimmie Johnson isn't going to keep his chase victory streak going. If Jimmie kept it going, the sport would tank even more than it has been. NASCAR needs a new champion. As much as I hope Tony wins it, it'd be better if Carl won it for the sport.

Carl is a tool, sorry him and Brad K aren't much higher(that was before Texas) than that douche bag Kyle...
Kahne wins, Edwards is 2nd and Stewart 3rd. Carl has a 3point lead going into next week. I might have to watch that or the end of it at least.
