Sorry for the influx of threads tonight. Saw this in ESPN the Magazine's issue on Boston's titles. And I quote:
And I quote again:
My question: Should NASCAR change the Chase schedule to add a road course race? Quite a few races take place on so-called "cookie cutter" tracks. When I say "cookie cutter", I mean tracks that are one-and-a-half miles long and are tri-ovals.

I'd love to see another short track and a road course added to really spice it up. The only real wildcard race in the chase is Talladega.

I don't really like the whole Chase idea that much anyway. Yeah they tried to give NASCAR a playoff feel, but I still think it should just be a whole season long to determine who wins. But I know they won't change it back, but they should switch up the tracks every year.

I think they should change the race tracks in the chase yearly. I think a road course race might be a good addition to the chase.

As much as Johnson winning championships makes him look like a legend, you're basically laughing in the face of those who were also in the Chase.

As much as Johnson winning championships makes him look like a legend, you're basically laughing in the face of those who were also in the Chase. What gets me is the fact that people like Jeff Gordon and Kevin Harvick who had phenomenal seasons and chases, still don't win the championship. When you get 30+ top 10s out of 36 races and don't win the championship, it really doesn't make sense. Consistency is what the championship used and should be about...
