CSF Rules- Spam: Yes, spam. Spam will not be tolerated. We at CSF really do not like spam. Spam makes forums look bad from a potential member's point of view. Anyone who spams will receive a couple warnings, then, they will get their account temporarily disabled. If your spam keeps occurring even then, you could be banned from the forum completely. The only exception for spam is if the thread or board specifically states that spam is allowed, then, spam would be okay.
- Text Talk: Text talk is not allowed. Sure, this may be the 21st century, most of the world may have cell phones, etc, but text talk doesn't belong here. Text talk is only allowed in the forum's chat box at the bottom of the forum. or if the thread or board states otherwise. Text talk includes "lol," "btw," "rofl," "g2g," etc.
- Short Posts: Well, I can't say this is a rule exactly, but it is highly frowned upon. Posting short posts makes you look bad from other users' point of views and guests' point of views as well. Try your best to make your posts and topics not very short, each post or topic you make should include a few words at the least. The only exception is if the board or thread states otherwise.
- Quality Posts: We all enjoy quality posts. Quality posts are great, they make the forum look good, they make you look good, and they make your chances of being a part of CSF's staff team higher. Quality posts are usually long posts, but they could be short posts as well. Quality posts are posts that really contribute to the topic being discussed. The only exception to this rule is if the board or thread states otherwise. Remember, Quality over Quantity.
- Profanity: Of course this is a rule. Profanity will not be tolerated under any circumstances. There are no exceptions to this rule. Profanity includes the 'f word,' etc. We currently have a few words includes the 'f word' censored, but we would still like to point out that profanity is not allowed not only on the forum, but also in the chat box, and it is not allowed through PM either. If you need clarification on what is allowed, and what isn't, feel free to PM me.
- Bumping: Bumping is allowed, to an extent. You may bump any topic if you are the creator of the topic. You may bump your topic every 48 hours. There is an exception. You may bump more often if the thread or board specifies it is allowed. For example, in the Promotion board, you have unlimited bumping. Bumping not only includes the word "Bump," but it also includes just back-to-back posting by the same user.
- Hacking & Cracking: Hacking or cracking is never allowed no matter what. Attempting to hack or crack is not allowed either. There are no exceptions. If you hack or crack someone's account or you hack or crack somewhere else on the internet and we find out about it, you will be permanently banned from this forum.
- Promotion: Promotion includes advertising a forum, website, or blog in any way. Promotion is only allowed in the Promotion board of the forum or in your profile; in your signature, etc. You may not PM advertise to others without their consent. Doing so could result in losing privileges on the forum, such as the ability to send a PM, etc. Keep in mind, you may share links, but when sharing links, the sole purpose of sharing the link should not be to advertise something.
- Racist & Prejudice: Racism is never allowed. Discriminating someone because of their race, religion, nationality, political views, culture, ethic, or any of their ways of life is not a laughing matter. That would be being prejudice, which will very well get you banned from the forum. Any racist or prejudice jokes, etc. are not allowed. Remember, each and every user is entitled to their own opinion and way of life, so do not try to change it by being prejudice towards them because of their views. Respect each and every member of the forum no matter what their take is on the aspects of life.
- Off-Topic: Is this a rule? Not exactly. Going off-topic in threads gets rather annoying. The topic was made to discuss certain things, then only make it about those certain things. Try to stay on-topic as much as possible, but if you get sidetracked a little and go off-topic, it's okay. Going way off-topic in threads could lead to that certain topic being locked.
- PG-13: All activities and discussion not only on the forum, but in the chat box as well should be at a PG-13 rating or below. Any in depth discussions of sex, rape, etc. would fall under a rating of M, which is not allowed. All content on this forum or in the chat box should be at a PG-13 rating at all times. In depth discussions of mature topics could get you in quite a lot of trouble.
- Disputes: Yes, disputes, surprised to see this rule? Disputes includes fighting, arguing, etc. Please solve disputes through PM or not even on this forum please. Please do not get into disputes on the forum, you may have your dispute through PM, if the dispute gets out of hand, please PM me.
- Backseat Moderation: Backseat moderation is not appreciated. Backseat moderation is when regular members act like a staff member, and enforce the rules on a fellow regular member. If you are both regular members, both of you would be equal; therefore, one should not enforce rules on to another on the forum or through PM. However, you may tell someone friendly reminders if someone is breaking a rule. Other than that, please use the "Report To Mod" feature which you can see at the bottom of each and every post of the forum. With this feature, you can report the select post for not following the forum's rules.
- ProBoards TOS: The ProBoards TOS is the ProBoards Terms of Service. Cmt Sports Forum is hosted by ProBoards, therefore all content must follow the ProBoards TOS. Click here to be redirected to the ProBoards TOS.
- Signatures: Being able to have a signature is a privilege, so please follow the signature rules. Yes, you may advertise a forum, website, or blog in your signature. Please keep your signature to a reasonable size. This has been a problem in the past, so we have decided to make a signature height and width limit. Your signature may be no more than 250 pixels high and 600 pixels wide. If signature are too large, you may be asked to resize your signature. If you fail to do this, the contents of your signature will be removed until your signature meets the requirements. Avatars must be 100% appropriate for a PG-13 rating.
- Avatars: Avatars must also be kept within a reasonable size. Avatars can be no more than 150 pixels high and 150 pixels wide. Avatars must also be 100% appropriate for a PG-13 rating.
- Cmt Cash: Cmt Cash is the forum's virtual cash currency. With Cmt Cash, you may buy items from The CSF Store. Cmt Cash can not be bought with real money or sold for real money. You earn 5 Cmt Cash per post or topic you make on the forum, except in the Forum Games and Promotion board, in there, post count is disabled, so you do not make any Cmt Cash in those particular areas.
- Reputation: Reputation can not be bought or sold with real money or Cmt Cash. Reputation may be exchanged through games, etc. You may give someone "+1 Rep" if you feel like they earned it. You may also give "-1 Rep," but please do not abuse it.
- Multiple Accounts: As a user of this forum, you are only entitled to one account. Please do not make multiple accounts. One account per IP address, unless you have a brother or sister who has the same IP address, then it is okay. The exception to this rule is if you get consent from a staff member of this forum to make another account. Proxies may not be used to go around the 1 account per IP address rule.
Just a note, the rules of the forum may be modified when the staff team feels it is needed, we will contact you if there is a modification in the rules, but then it is your job to go back through and read the new rule(s). Cooperation with Cmt Sports Forum's rules would be greatly appreciated. Remember, we have these rules in place in best interest for Cmt Sports Forum's present and future. We would like Cmt Sports Forum to be a great community to have sports and general discussion for a long time, so it is our job to prepare for the future. If you have any questions over any rules, if you would like to have a rule added, or you would like to request a rule to be removed, feel free to PM me. Thank you. Cmt Sports Forum Staff Team.

Online SafetyOnline safety is very important. Here at Cmt Sports Forum, we care about the members who come on here, so in order to help protect you, please read the SMART Guidelines below. Secret Secret is the first and one of the most important rules for online safety. Keeping personal information secret should become second nature to online users. Never give out your name, address or phone number, because it's like giving out the keys to your home. Never give out your password, because if someone knows your password they can often use it to find out other personal details. Meeting Using chat rooms and message boards is a great way to find out fun things and meet new people, but people you meet in chat rooms can also be dangerous. Someone who appears nice online, may be very different in person. So arranging to meet in 'real life' is not a safe thing to do. Children should only ever meet strangers with their parents' permission and when they can be present. If an adult goes with a child to meet a new chat buddy, always meet in a public place such as a café or shopping centre. You should never meet with anyone who won't accept this rule. Accept The majority of viruses and files could have no effect on your computer if you don't open them or let them get on there in the first place. Accepting files or opening e-mails from people you don't really know or trust can get you into trouble. They may contain viruses or nasty messages that you don't want to read. So don't open or accept files or e-mails you are not expecting. Remember People you meet online may seem very nice to you, but that doesn't mean that they are telling the truth. Many people are not who they say they are online and are pretending to be someone else. You wouldn't trust someone you knew in real life if they lied, so don't get tricked in the online world. To avoid awkward moments, just stick to the public areas in chatrooms and if you feel uncomfortable at all, then just leave! Tell Many things can happen online that make children feel ashamed or secretive about what they've seen or experienced. Encourage children to tell you about anything that makes them uncomfortable. Fear of a parent or guardian being cross is often more frightening than the uncomfortable experience they've had online, but that is what some nasty people will count on. Talk to your children about what they are doing online and encourage them to use the SMART rules at all times. Consider placing the computer in a shared room of the house so its use does not become secretive and hidden. Make your online use a family affair. Credit To BBC for this article.Thank you.
