Cmt Sports Forum
Categories and Forums - Rating: Excellent
Your forum has a lot of forums and is organised very well under the correct categories. I think this is excellent because it gives members a wide range of discussion even if they are not too interested in sports themselves as you offer a general discussion and entertainment forum. I also like how you've got a promotion section as well which attracts a lot of people who want to advertise their forum and so to speak, they will be interested in your forum and therefore you'll bring in activity as well. I chose excellent as my rating because of the reasons above and also due to the forum descriptions you've used for each forum. They are specific and they certainly make the reader feel welcome.
Graphics & Layout - Rating: Average
First things first, the graphics on your forum is alright but there is nothing spectacular or amazingly attractive to grab my attention. The layout of your forum is good, but I think that the graphics were a little simple. That isn't to say that the colour scheme didn't match the forum, in fact I loved the colours and I think that the light and bright colour scheme made it seem more user friendly. The banner is alright but its simplicity means that someone could remake that in a matter of minutes provided that they have the correct software. Another thing which I liked about the layout is that you've managed to include the respective sport image for each sport forum which is a nice touch. Overall, I have given your graphics and layout a rating of average.
Forum Activity - Rating: Good
To begin with, I would just like to say that you've got a very good activity rating! For a forum with 401 members, it is phenomenal that you have over 56000 posts. The activity is certainly jaw dropping, especially for a relatively small community such as your forum. There is also the fact that your forum has been receiving posts fairly recently which means that it's not dead; to be precise the post was actually made today. If we were to put your post to member ratio in context, then each member would have made about 141 posts which is absolutely outstanding. However, I was rather disappointed as I was reviewing your forum because when I went there, there was no members online which is rather a shame for a community with 401 members. There was also the fact that only 16 members came online in the last 24 hours including staff members. If we were to put that into context, then only about 4% of the entire member population came on which is not even 5%. Overall, a good activity rating.
Usergroups - Rating: Not Applicable
It was a shame that I couldn't see any usergroups, but I shall comment on the staff on your forum. Out of the 16 members that connected in the last 24 hours, 6 of them were staff members. I think that's a fair amount of staff members for a relatively small community and they are quite active as they posted fairly recently; precisely yesterday. My suggestion to you would be to allow members to see what usergroups there are so that I could review this aspect next time. Wink
Originality - Rating: Good
Your forum is quite original and this is probably because there are not a lot of sport forums out there on the Internet. So well done on that, for creating an original forum with your own ideas. However, this just looks like any typical forum that you can find on the Internet. There isn't anything on your forum that would make it stand out from the crowd because most things are very plain and simple and could be remade in a short amount of time provided that someone had the correct software. Overall, a good originality purely because you've managed to pick a forum subject that not a lot of people choose and you've managed to make it active.
