It's been a while since this peice of sh*t has gotten a suspension. And it's not like he has been clean either. After yesterdays elbow to the head of a Ranger, Cooke recieved a 10 game + 1st round of the playoffs suspension. (We can thank Air Canada for this ) It's about time. I still would prefer he doesn't play in the NHL ever again, but this is a start I guess.

Avery is another player who shouldn't be in the league anymore. Hell, he was even kicked out a couple seasons ago.... but no they had to let him back in. For what? What does he bring to the league that people miss?
Same with Cooke! Why is he so valuable that the NHL can't get rid of him. He should be out forsure if Savard's career is ended because of that dirty hit. But no, while Savard is still suffering from the hit, Cooke is throwing more elbows and dirty hits!!
Sigh....

Cooke, Avery, and Ott are all guys that need to go. They're all repeat offenders, and head hunters. The NHL preaches player safety, and ending hits to the head. In order for them to succesully do that they need to get rid of the head hunters. The only problem is it will never happen. If they ban Avery, and Cooke they have to ban Marchand, Heatley, Umberger, Chara, etc. Even the first time offenders will have to be banned. You can't ban one guy, and not the other.

Avery isn't as much a head hunter as he is a jack*ss. He is a clown, but I don't remember the last time he's thrown a dirty hit.
Why not make it so if a player gets 3 strikes, they are out? That way, repeat offenders don't stick around, while one timers like Marchand and Heatley are treated like the repeaters.
