The Redwall series is awesome.
I'm reading LOTR The Two Towers currently. I've read it before, but Tolkien is just so good.

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot
Its the common read that my college is doing for next. Any student taking first year experience is required to do it, also some english teachers are requiring as one of their books.

I'm reading Beowulf for English at school. It's pretty good so far, I guess.

I have read the Assassins Creed books and I am currently on the 3rd one. I don't usually read much, but these books got me hooked and I can't stop reading them. The best thing is, you actually feel as if it's real (or as rel) or that you can do what they do in it.
Excellent!
