If you guys think modern music is crap, you listen to the radio way too much. Overplayed pop music shouldn't be your general idea of modern music.
This. I agree that some modern music is crap (Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, Disney, Dubstep) but there's also a lot of awesome modern music. 209 made an awesome list, so I don't feel I need to add any to it.
Both eras of music have crap. Both eras of music have awesome.
Make a thread in the music or debate thread if you want to keep debating about it.
209 knows what he's talking about the thing about today's music is you have to look harder than in the 70's or some other time in order to find "good" music, but it's still out there. However, almost all mainstream music is crap today. That's why you need to support the good artists by buying their music, going to their shows, etc. That is a problem with downloading music illegally is people making good music won't make nearly the amount of money as in the 80's or 90's before illegal downloading occurred.
