What do you think is the most pointless law?

What do you think is the most pointless law? when a player gets treatment for an injury, no matter how small, player leaves the pitch and can not come back on until the ref says so, this can be silly as the player who was injured cannot help in the next phase of play, that could have been a free kick for the foul against him.So it is an advantage to the team who committed the foul.

Yeah that's a good one! I hate that. However, the rule is different in AYSO. I ref for AYSO and we allow the player to stay in. But then again, I referee in the USSF too and once the coach approaches the pitch with the referees permission we have to take the player off.

AYSO is the American Youth Soccer Organization. It's a volunteer form of soccer in the states. You pay $40 to register and you can play. Refereeing is all volunteer in AYSO though.
I'm a Level 8 USSF. Which means I can do all level of tournaments. In a year I'll be going for a Level 7 though. USSF builds up to FIFA level which FIFA is like level 1 and 2.

you sound like a keen referee!
Do you have trouble with the parents at the youth games?

I had a 12 year old boys game on Sunday against the home team from where I'm from and they played a team full of 12 year old Bosnians. Well we've had problems with the Bosnians every single year. So right in the pre-match discussion in the center I told both teams that I will not tolerate parents screaming and yelling and to keep parents off the coaches benches.
So we're going through the game, and it's a little hard to control but I managed. All the pushing and tackling was completely legal. It's annoying when younger kids don't understand the advantage law. However, the Bosnians played a very clean game. I did call one penalty kick on them, but the boy missed it. It was my home team that was playing very, very dirty when I specifically said not to play dirty in the pre-game conference. All in all, the parents from my home team were not pleased with me and that's simply because they do not understand the laws of the game. That's the toughest game I've refereed yet.

The refs and the linesmen get alot of stick in the league of my local team, which is part-time, but they do make some very odd decisions. This season on a windy evening the keeper took a goal kick and the wind blew the ball back into his area and he cleared it and no other player had touched the ball, the strangest thing is that it should have been an indirect free kick to the opposing side in his area, but the ref ignored it probably because he had never seen it before in his life! If the keeper had left the ball and it went in his net, what would the correct decision be?

Personally, I say never be a referee, someone is always going to hate you no matter what for your calls.

Yes you are absolutely correct. This is the most painful condition for that injured player.
